The Women’s Festival has been organised by Emilia Furman for nine years. In this article, you will see how this biggest Polish Zumba event has changed over the years. Today, this event initiated in Cracow has legendary status in the opinion of the editors of Woman Vibe Magazine. According to our estimates, all events could attract up to several thousand participants. Video footage of the event in total was seen by several hundred thousand viewers from all over the world!
Emilia created the first Zumba Marathon on her own with the encouragement of her closest friends. However, the name Women’s Festival (in Polish “Festiwal Kobiet”) was suggested by the esteemed dancer, choreographer and Zumba Jammer Michał Kurpet.
From the beginning, the event has also been supported by Izabela Kin – the initiator and organiser of Zumba in Poland. The only one who has the rights to grant licences for Zumba instructors in Poland.
The event has been honoured for many years by the best Polish Zumba presenters, such as: Izabela Kin, Michał Kurpet, Marta Mlak, Anna Grzybowska, Katarzyna Kozdęba, Ewa Janisz, Marta Dudzińska-Cieślik, Karol Oszczudłowski, Kamil Nowak, Szymon Glodny, Dariusz Selwa, Anna Dymitrasz and many more.
Thanks to Emilia, foreign Zumba presenters have also become well-known and popular in Poland:
Roma Fedorenko (Germany), Mansoor Galant (South Africa), Paula Mendez (Brazil), Sergey Pobegalov (Russia), Jon Martin (Spain), Seluco Fernandez (Spain), Tony Mosquera (Columbia/Spain), Ilian Ivanov (Bulgaria), Nuno Atans (Portugal), Ricardo Rodrigues (Portugal), Alba Duran (Spain), Adry Garcia (Spain), Dan Puche (Spain), Rony Gratereaut (USA), Melissa da Cruz (Brazil/Spain) and many more.
Ticket sales will begin in June for the 18th edition of the Women’s Festival in autumn 2024. The organiser has also announced a special anniversary event for March 2025.
We will report on both events in the pages of our international edition of MyDances Magazine.
